Santa Eulalia del Rio

Located on the East coast of Ibiza, and the third largest town on the island, Santa Eulalia del Rio is a wonderful place for a family holiday. With it's long, clean, sandy beach, shallow blue sea, and palm-lined promenade, it's the perfect place for a relaxing break. With numerous places to eat along the promenade, you will never go hungry, or for a more upmarket dining experience visit the marina, or walk inland a few streets to Calle San Vicente (Restaurant Street). Santa Eulalia's jewel in the crown is it's highly impressive marina, where you can relax with a cold drink and drool over the amazing yachts. Es Pueto resort is in a perfectly placed location, close to shops, the marina, the beach, the bus station, taxi rank, water taxis to Es Canar, Cala Llonga and Ibiza Town, and the ferry to the island of Formentera. Water sports are available from the beach, and scuba diving trips can be booked from the marina.

The Only River In The Balearic Islands

After a peaceful stroll along the promenade to the western end of the town, you will come across the river (Riu de Santa Eulalia). Walk across the bridge into the neighbourhood of Siesta and on to the footpath. For a pieceful stroll along the river, known as the mariners walk, follow the footpath for a couple of hundred metres to the carefully restored Roman bridge....

The Marina

The magnificent marina is located towards the Western end of town. It has mooring spaces for around 750 boats, ranging in size from 6 metre boats to huge 22 metre yachts. Es Pueto apartments command a fantastic view across the marina and beyond to the Med. Along one side of the marina are a number of shops and restaurants and during the summer, market stalls selling crafts and gifts. Scuba diving trips are available from the marina, you can book diving trips from Ibiza Diving which is located just across the road from Es Pueto Resort.

Shops And Bars

As with restaurants, there are plenty of shops and bars for you to choose from. The town itself consists of many small shops and boutiques selling clothes, accessories, and gifts. On the road between the Town Hall and the promenade is a newly refurbished pedestrianised rambler, where you will find craft stalls and artists, and my favorite Spanish snack, churros!  There are numerous bars throughout the town, everything from traditional Spanish to British style pubs. Plenty to choose from and many within a few minutes walk from Es Pueto apartments. There is a large supermarket and a bakery very nearby.
