Getting To Ibiza!

Most regional UK airports offer flights to Ibiza. www.skyscanner.net is a great place to compare prices and flight times. The Island Of Ibiza

Ibiza Airport is located on the South West of the island and is about a 20 minute drive from Santa Eulalia. More information about Ibiza Airport can be found here.

 

There are also ferries to Ibiza from Barcelona, Majorca, Denia and Valencia. 

 

Taxi ranks and bus stops are located just outside the Airport exits and car rental desks are located in the area just outside the arrivals hall. The taxi fare in July 2013 was approximately €35.

 

The journey time from the Airport to Es Pueto resort is approximately 20 minutes by car or taxi. During the summer months, the number L24 bus runs from the Airport to Santa Eulalia bus station. Es Pueto resort is a 10 minute walk from the bus station. 

 

There are a number of transfer shuttle services too, holidaytaxis.com is one example. These are ideal if there are more than four people in your party, as they work out a little cheaper than two taxis.

Ibiza is the third largest of the Balearic Islands, and is probably best known for it's association with tourism, nightlife and music. The island of Ibiza covers an area of just over 220 square miles, and is home to approximately 130,000 people. 

 

The summer climate in Ibiza sees temperatures in the high 20's during the daytime, dropping to around 20 degrees over night. In the winter, daytime temperatures are typically in the mid to high teens. 

 

The islands capital Ibiza Town, and the town of San Antonio are well known for there night clubs, Amnesia, Space and  Privilege  perhaps being the most well known. The clubbing season starts at the beginning of June and runs through to the first weekend in October. Also well known is Cafe Del Mar in San Antonio where tourist traditionally watch the amazing Ibiza sunsets. 

 

Large portions of Ibiza have been designated World Heritage Sites, preventing development away from the towns. 

 

The number of tourists visiting Ibiza has grown year by year, with almost 6 million people travelling through Ibiza Airport in 2012.
